Process

If you want to work on your own or in a pair you can choose:

  1. A letter addressed to the queen in which you discuss the problems of preserving Stonehenge for the future and in which you offer solutions.

  2. You are a guide at Stonehenge and you guide your group along with an exciting story which can be fictional. You could present your story to the class through a PowerPoint presentation.

  3. New excavations!! A group of archaeologists has found spectacular new things… Tell us about it in an article (newspaper or magazine).

If you want to work in a group of 3 or 4 you can choose:

  1. Make a PowerPoint presentation with mystical music and information meant for tourists who are interested in Druids, astronomy and so on…

  2. If you have read the book "the Doomstone" by Paul Zindel you can play a (thrilling) part of the book that is set in or near Stonehenge.

PROCESS

Steps to make:

  1. Read all the assignments carefully and decide which one you would like to do.

  2. Form a group, if necessary.

  3. Study the websites about Stonehenge (see Resources). Decide which one(s) will be useful for your assignment. Make notes!

  4. Read about the requirements. Make a timepath and divide the workload. Make sure your timepath allows for common 'emergencies' such as printer failure. Make sure everyone has an equal share.

  5. Tell your teacher your plans. A date will be set for the presentation. If you are going to need a laptop and beamer, make sure that you book these.

  6. Go for it!

  7. Hand in your written work and/or present your work to the class.

  8. Evaluation. Both your teacher and your classmates will establish how well you have done your assignment.
